The Safectory Asset Tracking solution can be used to provide more than just saving valuable time and money, this solution can be used for real-time inventories, protection against theft and process optimisation. In addition, particularly sensitive goods can be better protected by using built-in sensors to independently detect critical environmental conditions and send warnings to a predefined control centre. Even real-time maintenance messages (e.g. low battery level) can be implemented in this way.

IoT Sensor Network

Conventional asset tracking systems usually localise asset tags using a large number of fixed receivers using multilateration (overlapping of signals). This solution uses the reverse of this to enable a significant reduction in the hardware and installation effort required, meaning inexpensive beacons are systematically distributed in the location area and only a few receivers are needed to cover large areas. The asset tags transmit both their ID and the information about which beacons were detected in the immediate vicinity to the recipient.

Zone Tracking

If a mobile good, such as a trolley, is equipped with an asset tag, the system knows from the identifier stored in the database what is hidden behind the signal and where the trolley is currently located in the building. If the trolley moves out of a zone an alarm can be triggered in the system as a process event, or if the trolley is not moved within a specified route, a warning message can be displayed.
