What is it?

Warehouse doors are one of the most common sites for forklift accidents as drivers frequently fail to allow adequate time for the doors to open and so they collide with the doors or other objects while traveling through. The ALIS Shield activates electronic devices such as warehouse doors, gates, barriers, and LED projectors for safety symbol projection.

To increase the level of safety in operation, the ALIS Shield supports the feature of speed pre-setting in predefined zones (indoor/outdoor). This allows the forklift to autonomously slow down to a maximum predefined speed when moving through the zone.

Solution Components

This solution needs readers and ultra wide band tags to work, with vehicle tags added on any forklift that you need to integrate. This ensures you have a complete anti collision system. The numbers you require will be dependent on the building size and layout as well as number of employees.

The main benefit to this solution in comparison to other available solutions is the use of UWB instead of Bluetooth as this provides accurate reading which is critical for anti collision solutions.
